We are endlessly grateful to each and every one of our volunteers. Without their time, energy, creativity, and compassion, Buttony simply wouldn’t be what it is today.

From sewing and packing to spreading the word and supporting events, our volunteers are the heartbeat of the charity. Their dedication helps us reach families and young people across the UK, offering comfort, understanding, and a little Bear Named Buttony.

Thank you for everything you do, we truly couldn’t do it without you.

How can you help?

Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, and their efforts make the our work possible. From hands on to behind the scenes support, they help in countless ways, including:

  • Cutting Velcro, felt, and fabric

  • Sewing pouch covers

  • Creating stoma attachments

  • Packing washbags for young adults

  • Representing us at events and speaking on our behalf

  • Dressing up as Buttony Bear

  • Providing admin support

  • Counting donations from collection tins

  • Cutting Buttony’s pouches to size
